Hello, my name is Tommy, and I'd like to welcome you to my Home Page. The purpose for this page is to allow you to learn a little about me, my family and my interests.
I am fortunate to have Jackie, a beautiful and extrodinary woman, as my wife. We have three wonderful children Lauren, Stacey, and Jason. Also included in our household are 2 dogs, Stripe (a mutt) and Jessie (a Min-Pin), and Simon, a mute of a cat. A little about me and some of my hobbies: I have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and have been practicing as a registered nurse, primarily in the field of Cardiology, since 1981. I live and work in Lakeland, FL. I love Florida State, University of South Florida, and Tampa Bay Buccaneer football...no great affection for those dasterdly Gators however. I also enjoy backpacking, sailing and golf. However, my true passions remain Jimmy Buffett music and Skydiving. Yes, I'm a Parrothead and have been since first hearing Jimmy way back in 1976, and yes I jump out of "perfectly" airplanes.
Being a Florida native sorta makes being a Parrothead a requirement in my opinion. Skydiving, on the other hand is something I had said that I would NEVER do. Now here I am, livin' proof that you should never say never. Cause sure as you do one day you'll wake up and find yourself doin' what it was you said you'd never do. For me the high altitude hijinks began when my buddies, Tim Lain and Kirk Toune (whose home pages you can link to from my skydive page), and I ventured over to the World Skydiving Center (WSC) in Lake Wales, FL. We intended on participating in one, and only one, tandem Skydive. Well, we got our monies worth and received the adventure of our lives thanks to the good folks at WSC. The next thing we knew we were enrolled in the first jump course. Well that's now over 260 skydives ago and we're now regulars at the WSC. I guess you could say we really fell for the sport!
